The Language Dispatch, Issue #034-- Child Apraxia Speech Therapy
June 26, 2017

Hello, and welcome to this issue of the Language Dispatch.

REST - RAPID SYLLABLE TRANSITION TRAINING

A brand new evidence-based therapy for childhood apraxia of speech is available to download from the Sydney University, Australia website.

The site is a self-directed learning package and features a range of free information. This includes a description of how REST (Rapid Syllable Transition Training) works, an introductory video from associate professor and speech pathologist, Tricia McCabe, and a clinician manual for speech-language clinicians to get started in this exciting development in the effective treatment of CAS.

The Training Package pages feature a number of videos where particular elements of the training are demonstrated. These pages also have many downloads including data sheets, a child readiness checklist and parent handouts.
